It\u2019s set among beautiful fields and just a short distance from the lovely beaches along the <strong>Costa Brava<\/strong>. The nearly 12-hectare property features olive and oak trees, with venue spaces including a terrace with spectacular sea views as well as a <strong>cosy wedding chapel<\/strong>. The history of Castell d\u2019Empord\u00e0 goes back to the 14th century, when it was first\u00a0mentioned in historical documentation. Over one hundred years later, it was acquired by the Margarit family through marriage. In the 1970s, <strong>Salvador Dali<\/strong> wanted to buy the castle for his wife Gala using his artwork for payment. The owner at the time refused. The castle features stunning gardens that are available for hire for those looking to host a unique and unforgettable\u00a0event. The history of Sant Mar\u00e7al, in terms of the construction of the church, dates back to around the 11th\u00a0century. The castle is mentioned later in historical documents, during the beginnings of the 12<span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px; line-height: 20px;\">th<\/span>\u00a0century. It was purchased in 1225 by Ram\u00f3n de Plegamans, whose\u00a0son <strong>Marim\u00f3n de Plegamans <\/strong>was one of the most distinguished people in the area at the\u00a0time. There are several options for a wedding ceremony location, either in the main square of the old town of Tamarit or nearby the pool area at the castle that overlooks the sea. You can also request to hold your ceremony in a delightful 11th\u00a0century chapel. The history of the castle itself goes back to the 12th\u00a0century, when it was constructed in a Romanesque style. Several centuries later, it was used as a surveillance point for pirate attacks occurring along the coast.
