If you want to stop for a beer and a tapa, try going to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.barversalles.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"broken_link\">Versalles<\/a><\/strong>, which has been in business since 1915. The original decoration has been preserved, which makes you feel like you are stepping back in time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Right off of <strong>Carrer Gran<\/strong> is the district&#8217;s largest public library,<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/w110.bcn.cat\/portal\/site\/Biblioteques\/menuitem.95987d47df85c50972e072e0a2ef8a0c\/?vgnextoid=9bdb3e215454a310VgnVCM10000072fea8c0RCRD&amp;vgnextchannel=9bdb3e215454a310VgnVCM10000072fea8c0RCRD&amp;lang=ca_ES\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Can Fabra<\/a><\/strong>. This beautiful library is located in a nice plaza which is often used for free cultural events.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sant_Andreu_de_Palomar\"><\/span>Sant Andreu de Palomar<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Sant-Andreu-church.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-66083\"><img class=\"size-medium wp-image-66083 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Sant-Andreu-church-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Sant Andreu church\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>A few minutes walking from <strong>Carrer Gran<\/strong> you will find the church of <strong>Sant Andreu de Palomar<\/strong>, located in <strong>Pla\u00e7a d&#8217;Orfila<\/strong>. Built in Romanesque style during the 10th century, the church was dedicated to the beloved Saint Andrew.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Throughtout the centuries, a community was formed, with a number of houses being built around the church. This is why the district was named\u00a0<strong>Sant Andreu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The church also holds an important place in the history of Barcelona as it was the site of one of the main events of the War of the Reapers, an attempt by Catalonia to separate from the Spanish crown.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Go inside and take a peek at this beautiful building, which was renovated in 1881 and transformed into a neo-Gothic-style cathedral. The bright frescoes that line the walls are both impressive and inspiring.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Parc_de_la_Pegaso\"><\/span>Parc de la Pegaso<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stop and take in the scenery in this large an gorgeous\u00a0<strong>park<\/strong>. Located off Avinguda Meridiana in the neighborhood of La Sagrera,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/guia.barcelona.cat\/es\/detall\/parc-de-la-pegaso_92086017159.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Parc de la Pegaso<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has something to offer people of all ages. Children can enjoy the playground or the basketball courts while adults can go for a nice walk or run and even bring their four-legged friends along.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are a series of small ponds and fountains for aesthetic appeal and an added sense of tranquility.
