As you might guess from the name, the <strong>restaurant&#8217;s<\/strong> speciality is its tacos with\u00a0a choice of\u00a0\u00a0many fillings including cactus, grilled meat and beef tongue. The tacos are topped with crispy onions, fragrant coriander and a choice of smoky refried beans, zesty guacamole, fresh cheese or spicy jalape\u00f1os. Quesadillas, nachos and traditional Aztec soup are also on the menu if (somehow) tacos aren&#8217;t your thing. Drinks wise, there is a great selection of beers and tequilas at very modest prices, also making it the perfect place for a night out.\u00a0The <strong>restaurant<\/strong> itself is small, compact and colourful with friendly and attentive staff and a happy and relaxed <strong>atmosphere<\/strong>. Given its size and popularity, the<strong> restaurant<\/strong> does tend to get very busy so it&#8217;s wise to book online or by phone beforehand to avoid disappointment.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/h2>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"La_Tarantella\"><\/span>La Tarantella<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Where:\u00a0<\/strong>Carrer de Sep\u00falveda, 98<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/2529856456_368530c5ab_b-e1459100589977.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65568\"><img class=\" wp-image-65568 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/2529856456_368530c5ab_b-e1459100589977-300x262.jpg\" alt=\"2529856456_368530c5ab_b\" width=\"312\" height=\"272\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/trattoriatarantella\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">La Tarantella<\/a>, tucked away in <strong>Barcelona&#8217;s<\/strong> L&#8217;Eixample district, is a\u00a0charming trattoria serving\u00a0up honest Neapolitan<strong> cuisine<\/strong> (the <strong>restaurant<\/strong> was recommended to me by Italians therefore I can vouch for its authenticity).\u00a0\u00a0The decor is simple and traditional, the atmosphere lively and vibrant\u00a0and the prices very <strong>reasonable<\/strong>. Whilst service may not be its strong point, the <strong>eatery<\/strong> more than makes up for it with fantastic quality <strong>food<\/strong>; their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/where-to-find-italian-pizza-in-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pizzas<\/a> cooked in a wood-fire oven using local ingredients never fail to please. The <strong>menu<\/strong> is extensive with a wide selection of pizza and pasta dishes and the house wines are decent too. If you want to get the most for your money, pay La Tarantella a visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday when all the pizzas cost just \u20ac7.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Koku_Kitchen\"><\/span>Koku Kitchen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Where:\u00a0<\/strong>Carrer d&#8217;en Carabassa, 19<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/10393413846_abd2fb476f_h-e1459108645293.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65631\"><img class=\"size-medium wp-image-65631 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/10393413846_abd2fb476f_h-e1459108645293-300x242.jpg\" alt=\"10393413846_abd2fb476f_h\" width=\"300\" height=\"242\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/kokukitchen.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Koku Kitchen<\/a>, situated in the Gothic Quarter just a stone&#8217;s throw from Las Ramblas, is one of <strong>Barcelona&#8217;s<\/strong> first ramen bars. Owned by Irishmen Mark Liston and Ross O&#8217;Doherty, the small\u00a0<strong>restaurant<\/strong> serves authentic Japanese food and a small selection of classic desserts.\u00a0For around \u20ac8 you can get a generous bowl of ramen bursting with \u00a0exciting flavours such as miso and soya that will definitely\u00a0leave you feeling satisfied. Extras and sides such as kimchee, tofu and gyoza are extremely <strong>reasonable<\/strong> too. \u00a0The <strong>restaurant<\/strong> is inviting and the atmosphere relaxing, making it the perfect place to spend an evening with friends.\u00a0Be\u00a0sure to leave room for dessert as their banoffee pie, although not in keeping with the Japanese theme, is to die for. Plus, costing only \u20ac3.80, it would be foolish not to!
