Looking closely you can pick out all the big monuments, and there are even telescopes to help you. En route, you may well be lucky enough to encounter one of the street sellers who have recently started to sell <strong>selfie<\/strong> sticks. Go on, treat yourself! There\u2019s a double benefit to this awesome vantage point, too. Venture <a href=\"http:\/\/www.museunacional.cat\/ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">inside the MNAC building<\/a> and you can take even more <strong>selfies<\/strong> against a backdrop of amazing arches, chandeliers and painted ceilings.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bunkers_del_Carmel\"><\/span><strong>Bunkers del Carmel <\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/5392333629_798c9268b0_z.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-62609\"><img class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-62609\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/5392333629_798c9268b0_z-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"Bunkers del Carmel Barcelona\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a>This is a fantastic vantage point to get yourself some <strong>selfies<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>with<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Barcelona\u2019s skyline.<\/strong> You really feel you\u2019re away from the crowds up at this viewpoint, also known as the Tur\u00f3 de la Rovira. Built during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/event\/Spanish-Civil-War\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"broken_link\">Spanish Civil War<\/a>, the \u201cbunkers\u201d are lookout points designed to survey the entire city, to help the military defend Barcelona from aircraft attacks. Once the war ended, the canons were removed and the site was left to decay. However, it later became a popular \u201chidden\u201d place to visit and is now a well-known hang out visited by locals on summer days. It\u2019s a little bit of a hike, but so worth it to get a non-touristy view of Barcelona. And, of course, that all-important <strong>skyline selfie<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tibidabo\"><\/span><strong>Tibidabo<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/23615216705_d2611e5dec_z.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-62611\"><img class=\"size-medium wp-image-62611 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/23615216705_d2611e5dec_z-300x209.jpg\" alt=\"View from Tibidabo Barcelona\" width=\"300\" height=\"209\" \/><\/a>Look up to the horizon from virtually anywhere in <strong>Barcelona<\/strong> and you\u2019ll probably see the familiar shape of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tibidabo.cat\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Tibidabo mountain<\/a>, standing proudly at 512 metres above sea level. Perched on its summit is the Sagrat Cor church, a building that looks like something from Lord of the Rings when viewed from a distance. Climb Tibidabo and you\u2019ll be rewarded with a number of excellent vantage points from which to take <strong>selfies.<\/strong>\u00a0For example, you can take a shot of yourself from the top of the big Ferris wheel at Tibidabo\u2019s amusement park. Or, climb to the church and get a <strong>selfie<\/strong> with the sacred heart of Jesus statue in the background. Mostly though, you\u2019ll want to gaze out at the amazing view of <strong>Barcelona<\/strong> and the Balearic Sea beyond.
