The company created <strong>Pekelucas<\/strong> with the objective of gathering the material to create free wigs for girls between the age of 5 and 14, who have lost their hair due to burns, alopecia, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or any other cause.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Locks_of_Love_Aviano_4.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-61680\"><img class=\"size-medium wp-image-61680 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Locks_of_Love_Aviano_4-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"hair barcelona\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a>Each wig is designed specifically for a child, created by hand and machine, using donated hair.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">How can you help? The next time you decide to <strong>cut your hair<\/strong>, go to one of the hairdressers or beauty salons working with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pekelucas_org?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Pekelucas<\/a><\/strong> and tell them you want to <strong>donate the hair <\/strong>that will be cut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can also <strong>cut your hair<\/strong> at home and send it to <strong>Pekelucas<\/strong>. The hair should be dry, in a braid or a tight ponytail. You can mail the <strong>hair<\/strong> yourself, or take it to Las Melusinas makeup and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/where-to-buy-arts-and-crafts-supplies-in-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">crafts shop<\/a>. They will send it to Madrid so you don\u2019t have to spend money mailing it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can find <strong>Las Melusinas<\/strong> at Carrer del Comer\u00e7 5B, at Viladecans.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mi_pelo_por_ti\"><\/span><strong>Mi pelo por ti\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mi pelo Por ti<\/strong> is a solidarity project that was born when a famous Spanish athlete decided to cut her hair on the day of a race for women back in 2013, a solidarity gesture to support a friend who had started losing her due to her battle with breast cancer. The hair was donated t a company that produces wigs for cancer patients.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To <strong>donate<\/strong> <strong>hair<\/strong> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mipeloporti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>Mi pelo por ti,<\/strong> <\/a>you have to have a braid that is, at least, 20cm long. Place an elastic on the bottom and top of the braid, so that it remains intact when you cut it.
