La Vila Ol\u00edmpica del Poblenou<\/strong> is one of the ten barrios that make the district of Sant Mart\u00ed<\/strong>, designed by architects Albert Puigdom\u00e8nech, David Mackay, Oriol Bohigas and Josep Martorell.<\/p>\n

This particular area was renovated and improved in order to receive the athletes of the Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Barcelona<\/strong> in 1992.<\/p>\n

Today, La<\/strong> Vila Ol\u00edmpica del Poblenou<\/strong> exists mainly as a residential and educational area, where one of the three campuses of University Pompeu de Fabra<\/strong> is located.<\/p>\n

There are a couple of points of interest in this barrio, mainly directed at sports and leisure.<\/p>\n
