has a <strong>permanent exhibition, <\/strong>divided into seven parts:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Roots (prehistory to the 8<sup>th<\/sup> century)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Birth of a Nation (8<sup>th<\/sup> to 12<sup>th<\/sup> century)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our Sea (12<sup>th<\/sup> to 16<sup>th<\/sup> century)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the Edge of the Empire (16<sup>th<\/sup> to 18<sup>th<\/sup> century)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Steam-Powered Nation (18<sup>th<\/sup> to 19<sup>th<\/sup> century)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Electric Years (1900 to 1939)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Defeat and Recovery (1940 to 1980)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Portrait of Contemporary Catalonia (1980 to 2007)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The museum also receives several <strong>temporary exhibitions<\/strong> every year like \u201cLa festa popular, la catalanitat c\u00edvica\u201d, \u201cContes infantils de la guerra\u201d, \u201cPer bruixa\u00a0i\u00a0metzinera. La cacera de bruixes a Catalunya\u201d, \u201cQuan plovien bombes\u201d and \u201cLa transformaci\u00f3 del litoral de la Barceloneta: de la Mar Vella a l\u2019Edifici Vela\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are a number of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhcat.cat\/esmhc\/actividades\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">activities<\/a><\/strong> visitors can take part in, like the free <strong>guided visits<\/strong>, which happen every Sunday in four different languages. At 10 am there is a French visit, at 11 am an English visit, at 12 am a Catalan visit and at 12:30 a Spanish visit. (Always check the website if hours\/languages are still scheduled the same!) These guided visits are available only during the summer months.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Practical_information\"><\/span>Practical information<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Catalonia\u2019s History Museum<\/strong> is located at Plaza de Pau Vila, number 3 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/barcelona-rent\/ciutat-vella\/barceloneta\" class=\"broken_link\" rel=\"nofollow\"><strong>neighbourhood of Barceloneta<\/strong><\/a>. You can go to the museum using the yellow line (L4) of the subway, exiting at Barceloneta.
