Walking through the center of Barcelona,<\/strong> we often see \u201cfamiliar faces\u201d in the shape of clothing stores and food chains that can be found anywhere in the world. Mango, MacDonald\u2019s, Zara, Pull&Bear, Burger King, Jack&Jones\u2026 the same old brands pop up in the main shopping streets like Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia<\/a>, Las Ramblas, and Portal de l\u2019\u00c0ngel.<\/p>\n

But Barcelona<\/strong> is much more than the center. It\u2019s made of the little streets we have to squint to read the name on the map, the lovely caf\u00e9s tucked away in the back of unknown alleys, the hidden treasures<\/strong> we stumble upon when we get lost.<\/p>\n

One particularly interesting street off center is Carrer d’Ast\u00faries<\/strong><\/a>, located immediately to the left of the subway stop Fontana<\/strong>, in the district of\u00a0Gr\u00e0cia.<\/p>\n
