Barcelona Sants<\/strong> Station<\/strong> <\/span>was inaugurated in 1979 in the district of Sants-Montju\u00efc<\/strong>, quickly becoming the most important railway station in Barcelona<\/strong> and the second most important station in Spain. Each month the station receives more than 2,5 million passengers.<\/p>\n

The station offers short and long distance trips<\/strong> that run inside the country and internationally. From Sants<\/strong> you can travel to Paris, Madrid, Sevilla, M\u00e1laga, Lyon, Marsella and Toulouse.<\/p>\n

You can also use the station for medium distance travelling<\/strong>, going the main Catalonian cities, Arag\u00f3n and Comunidad Valenciana.<\/p>\n

\"sants3\"<\/a>If you want to travel a shorter distance, you can use lines R1, R2, R3 <\/strong>and R4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sants<\/strong> is equipped with a series of caf\u00e9s and restaurants like McDonald\u2019s, Tutti Frutti, Caff\u00e9 di Fiori, Ars and Divers Gourmet; various stores like The Body Shop, Yves Rocher, Imaginarium, Calzedonia, Desigual, Accessorize, Swatch & Swarovski, Parfois and La Botiga del Bar\u00e7a; and services like lottery houses, car rental services, ATMs, pharmacies, a tourism office, a travel agency, among others.<\/p>\n

There is also the Hotel Barcel\u00f3 Sants<\/a><\/strong>, a four-star hotel with prices that start at 100\u20ac per night.<\/p>\n

Sants Station<\/strong> is located at Pla\u00e7a dels Pa\u00efsos Catalans<\/strong>. If you find yourself with some time, having to wait for your train to depart, you can visit the area surrounding the station, like the Palacio Bala\u00f1a<\/strong>, an area with a taxi rank and a variety of cinemas or the close by promenade which has a variety of restaurants, caf\u00e9s and bars.<\/p>\n

At Sants Station you are within walking distance of Pla\u00e7a Sants, Carrer de Sants<\/strong> and Pla\u00e7a Espanya. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"sants2\"<\/a>If you have just arrived by train and are in a mood for a nice long stroll, you can get to the center by foot.\u00a0 Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia<\/strong>, for example, is only 29 minutes away. But if you are carrying luggage, the best option is to take one of the subway lines or buses that serve the station to get to the center. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can reach or leave Barcelona Sants<\/strong> by using the green (L3)<\/strong> or blue line (L5)<\/strong> of the subway<\/strong>, or taking buses<\/strong> number H10, V7, 27, 32, 78, 109 and 115.<\/p>\n
