He is known as one of the fathers of modernist architecture and is well known for some of the Barcelona apartments and castles he built. Gaudi used nature, religion and architecture to influence his designs, and he used an array of different construction media like; carpentry, ceramics, stained glass and wrought iron forging in his design pieces. His works became popular to both architects and tourists alike. 7 of Gaudi\u2019s buildings were named as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Guell_Palace\"><\/span>Guell Palace<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Attraction_Review-g187497-d295879-Reviews-Palau_Guell-Barcelona_Catalonia.html\">Guell palace<\/span> was one of the first masterpieces constructed by Antoni Gaudi. An extremely rich industrial family named Guell commissioned the building in 1888. The building shows one of the first signs of Gaudi\u2019s later obsession with art Nouveau.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Casa_Batllo\"><\/span>Casa Batll\u00f3<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is one of Gaudi\u2019s well known masterpieces. The locals refer to it as the house of bones, because of its skeletal look. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com\/en\/gaudi\/casa-batllo.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Casa Batll\u00f3<\/a> is one of the Gaudi structures that is listed as a World heritage site.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sagrada_Familia\"><\/span>Sagrada Fam\u00edlia<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img class=\"size-medium wp-image-71886 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/Sagrada_Familia_02-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"gaudi\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>The Sagrada Fam\u00edlia is one of Gaudi\u2019s most famous pieces. The work on this majestic Roman Catholic Church started in 1882 and is still going today. In the early times the Sagrada family provided the funding for the construction, but today it is being built on donations by common people. The church was proclaimed a minor Basilica in 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the original Gaudi plans the church would have had three facades, seven isles and 18 towers.
