And it is also a popular location for dog&#8217; and their parents, families and couples at the weekend. Especially on a sunny Sunday morning and afternoon. It can get quite crowded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you want to break off the <strong>Carretera<\/strong> and visit the <strong>Torre de Collserola<\/strong> (the white spikey thing) or Tibidabo, it will involve some intensive uphill walking, jogging or cycling &#8211; but it is worth the pain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The track starts from Vallcarca and eventually leads to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/font-magica\/\" target=\"_blank\">fountain<\/a> known as Font de la Mandra, within the municipality of Esplugues de Llobregat, which is just outside the city of Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Related article:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/running-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\">5 points to run well in Barcelona<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_79122\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-79122\" class=\"wp-image-79122 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/runners-635906_960_720-300x200.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-79122\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo via Pixabay<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Carretera de les Aig\u00fces<\/strong> is an ideal place to enjoy the city with wonderful views but without being too physically demanding, unless you want to tie-in a visit to Tibidabo\u2019s beautiful white church at the top of the mountain, and the oldest funfair in Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The easiest way to access this route is either by car or by funicular. Take the train from Placa Catalunya until Baixador de Vallvidrera. Embark and change to the Funicular de Vallvidrera, which is situated within the same station as Baixador de Vallvidrera and does not incur an extra fare. Take the funicular just one stop (there are only two) and you will alight in the middle of the <strong>Carretera de les Aig\u00fces<\/strong>.
