The <strong>campsite<\/strong> itself nests about 400m below in a valley between snow-covered peaks and guarded by rolling, verdant hills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Offering standard facilities, such as toilet blocks, wifi, a swimming pool (during high <span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/the-best-coming-season-music-concerts-in-barcelona\/\">season<\/span>), washing facilities, and a bar, the site provides\u00a0a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/getaway-near-barcelona-siurana-de-prades\/\" target=\"_blank\">complete get away <\/a>in a location that is a genuine retreat from the world at large.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Related article:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/torre-del-sol\/\" target=\"_blank\">All about La Torre del Sol campsite<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pitches are unmarked and laid out in tiers with plenty of space for both tents and <strong>camper<\/strong> vans. At the top sits a lovely, rustic looking bar, watching over the entire site like a tribal elder.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Exploring_Montseny\"><\/span>Exploring Montseny<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>campsite<\/strong> serves as a good base to explore <strong>Montseny<\/strong> and its peaks, valleys, and rivers. Not too far away there is a monastery, a small dam and a tricky but walkable cascading mountain stream with waterfalls.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_83425\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-83425\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-83425\" src=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/montseny-116551_1280-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-83425\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo via Pixabay<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As far as food goes, the restaurant offers fairly standard Spanish dishes\u00a0(high season only) but will happily sell you fresh bread and a number of other staples. However, a short drive away there are typical restaurants serving meals and snacks. If you want to self cater, then a short drive into town (or pick groceries up on the way to the site) will give you access to a small supermarket, bakeries etc. Beware, that siesta times and early closing on Saturdays (and not at all on Sundays) very much still apply here.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Related article:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/montsec-hiking-and-camping\/\" target=\"_blank\">Montsec: Hiking and Camping with a View<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The drive up to the site is terrific: winding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/climbing-montserrat-mountain\/\" target=\"_blank\">mountain roads<\/a>\u00a0that offer more and more spectacular views the higher you get.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Plenty of information about local attractions and tracks\u00a0is available in the bar and the lady who owns the site is very friendly and accommodating.
