It is also a military complex.<\/p>\n<p>The Monastery of Poblet is a working monastery to this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/day-trips-out-of-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">day<\/a>, and also consists of a guesthouse, sadly for male guests only, and can accommodate gentlemen seeking a pause from life who wish to silently retreat, for up to a week.<\/p>\n<p>Tours are available throughout the year and are given in different languages. Although, with a guidebook it is possible to make your own way. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poblet.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http:\/\/www.poblet.cat\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just a couple of hours from the city of Barcelona, a trip to the monastery is a perfect day-trip and a great respite from the heat and or noise of the industrious city.<\/p>\n<p>The monastery is also close to some very photogenic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/were-going-on-a-picnic-in-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">countryside<\/a> and medieval <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/costa-brava\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">villages<\/a>, so book your tickets, recharge your cameras and get out of Barcelona.
