She lived at the end of the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> and beginning of the 4<sup>th<\/sup> century A.D., and according to legend, she was a Christian. When she was only 13 years old, Emperor Diocletian tried to force her to renounce her religion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But&#8230; the young lady refused, and she was therefore punished with 13 martyrdoms, the exact number of her age. After enduring all of them, she was then crucified, and her remains are now in <strong>Barcelona\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shbarcelona.com\/blog\/en\/catedral-eulalia\/\">cathedral<\/a><\/strong>, which explains the full name of the cathedral: the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eul\u00e0lia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This year\u2019s Santa Eul\u00e0lia festival will be on <strong>February 7<\/strong>,<strong> 8<\/strong>,<strong> 9 and 12<\/strong>.
