Surfing and sailing is the inspiration for Firmamento clothes

Written by Adriana

Since recently aquatic sports that take place on the beaches of Barcelona are diversifying and popularizing. So isn’t strange to see surfboards, stand up paddle surfboards, windsurfing boards and bodyboarding boards on the beach or near the promenade carried by more and more people of all ages and profiles. Many businesses or companies take advantage of this trend (with love and care) as they did in Firmamento, the first surfer brand of Barcelona.

Mediterranean style

Firmament was founded in 2010 by Marc Lite and Anton Pinyol, and offers clothing for men and women, but also for children, beach bags, books and magazines whose theme revolves around the surfing or the sea, towels, posters and other accessories. What attracts more the attention is its sober design, away from bright colors that Californian surfers wear on their clothes, and the lovely and elegant aesthetic line even being sportswear, and also the fact that the materials used are organic cotton and merino wool. In addition, the manufacture of all products from Firmamento is handmade and local. Sailoring motifs are also present through nautical flags and signs that appear in the pockets of the T-shirts, or in the towels. Everything within minimalist designs of great taste.

On their website you can also find a wooden handmade surfboard designed along with Proyecto Sandez that costs only 940 euros, as well as a reedition of the chair “Pepitu” with OtrasCosas.

Where to buy?

If you ‘ve already love the design and concept of Firmamento, you should know that you can find all the products on their website and buy online at very affordable prices, or go to their showroom, open all weekends in the Plaza del Mercat in the neighborhood of Barceloneta, near the famous bar Electricitat. Can you think of a best place to sell Firmamento items than in a fisherman and sailoring area as La Barceloneta neighborhood? Of course not! From ShBarcelona we recommend you to walk around the streets, enjoy a stroll by the sea and some tapas in one of the local bars nearby.
