Oryx  – La tienda del amante de la Naturaleza

Founded in 1996, Oryx is a store dedicated to all nature lovers. The store has the largest natural history book collection in the world! At Oryx you can also find a variety of accessories for nature aficionados and professionals, like backpacks, compasses, maps, hammocks, microphones, recorders, cameras, radiotracking devices, telescopes, magnifiers, night goggles, and all sorts of material for entomology, botany, geology, environmental sciences, meteorology, forest engineering and astronomy.

Vicens

Vicens is a brand specialized in artisanal nougats, or how they are known in Spain, torrons. Vicens produces more than 150 varieties of nougats like Agramunt’s nougat, hard nougat, soft nougat, egg yolk and marzipan nougats. The store also carries a selection of Nougats created by Albert Adrià, one of the best pastry chefs in Spain. Adrià has developed a line of special nougats such as a raspberry marzipan nougat with sugar and violet flower, a rosemary truffle nougat with crunchy hazelnut and raspberry, and a piña colada nougat.

Casa Ciutad is a family owned store that has been in business since 1924. The store specializes in brushes and combs. La Manual Alpargatera

Espadrilles are a typical Spanish shoe that first appeared in the Pyrnee area in Catalonia. The name of the shoe comes from the Catalan word espardenya, since the shoes are made of espart, a rough and resistant Mediterranean grass used to make rope. La Manual Alpargatera was the first espadrilles workshop and store in Barcelona. The seventy five year old store is popular not only among locals, but foreigners, having served clients like Jack Nicholson, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Juliane Moore.
