Where to find Russian food in Barcelona

Walking on La Ramblas we see a lot of offers for typical Spanish food such as paella, tapas, pintxos etc. The local food is good, but after a while, you start to grow tired of eating the same things over and over. So why not try something completely different?

Here are some of the restaurants and shops in Barcelona where you can find Russian food.

Troika

One of the most famous Russian products stores in Barcelona is called Troika. Located in the city center, very close to Las Ramblas, Troika carries books, magazines and a variety of grocery products. There, you can try Russian sweets, chocolates, pastries, meat products, fish, bread, spices, etc. Two of the most typical Russian products that can be found in Troika are black bread and sour cream, which are consumed in almost every meal in Russia. The store also sells products from Ukraine, Belarus, and the Baltic countries, which have a similar cuisine.

Troika is located at Carrer de la Unio, 3. The store is open from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 9 pm.

Cafe Tolstoi

Named after one of the greatest Russian authors in history, Tolstoy is a restaurant/tea room in Eixample that serves Russian cuisine. The interior of the restaurant is decorated with different Russian elements and pictures, which are sure to make all Russian expats to feel a little closer to home. Some of the traditional Russian dishes served in Tolstoy are herring salad – shuba, red soup – borsch, and caviar – ikra.

Cafe Tolstoi is located at Carrer de Mallorca, 170. The restaurant/tea room is open from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm.

Las 7 Maravillas

  • Hello Paula!

A Russian friend is staying in Barcelona (08005) for training and is longing for Russian food. Do you know of any good Russian restaurants in Barcelona that accept online payment as well as deliver?

    Many thanks from Houston, TX
