Poblenou’s neighborhood has remained, over the years and the many urban transformations, as a popular district thanks to the struggling associations that have never forgotten its humble past. Many people realized that and many projects such as the 22@, or the innovation district in Barcelona, have filled Poblenou with modern architecture and hosts entrepreneurs from around the world in a collaborative environment spinning around new technologies. Some of these entibies that “inhabit” the streets of the district have already begun to promote the area and make it, definitely and progressively, a culture and business centre of Barcelona. They are La Plataforma (an art gallery), members of DeeBee (a photo studio), and Food Cultura (a gastronomic foundation), which have associated for the common good on the Poblenou Urban District project. This initiative has resulted in a quarterly map where shops, design studios, production companies, restaurants, schools and places of interest, among many others, will appear to support and give visibility to the area.
The first map is already distributed throughout the city! Have you seen it? On July the 19th at 9pm will be the official map’s launch at Sala Razzmatazz.
