Parasailing in Barcelona

Written by Miguel

There are so many places to visit in Barcelona, so many things to do. When you’re new to the city, you’re sure to be doing a lot of sightseeing in the first few weeks, and the capital of Catalonia certainly has a lot to offer in that regard. There is, however, a particularly fantastic way of experiencing the beauty that is Barcelona – let’s call it “sightseeing with a side of goosebumps” – parasailing. You’ve seen the city at ground level – then it’s time to visit its skies, to look down at the city with the wind in your face, the birds by your side and your adrenaline levels through the roof. Well, technically there’s no roof, it’s the sky. But you know what we mean – we present to you this article from ShBarcelona about parasailing in Barcelona.

Parasailing is a recreational activity that allows you to soar through the skies without having to jump off of anything. Using a harness, the person, or parasailor, is attached to a boat while wearing a parasail wing, which looks similar to a parachute. As the vehicle drives off and gains velocity, the parasailor is lifted into the air for an exciting ride that lasts around 15 minutes. A parasail wing can carry a large number of people, depending on the power of the boat, so it’s a great option for a fun group activity with family or friends.

When it comes to locations where you can parasail, you’re at no loss in Barcelona.  Located at the Port Olímpic and specializing in water activities, Aventura Náutica provides parasailing rides for up to 5 people. The price for an individual ride is 90€, but there is a progressive discount – for example, a group of 5 will only pay 60€ for participant. You can find contact information on their website, where you can call or email to schedule a ride. Another option is The Spain event, event organizers that arrange parasailing rides in several different Barcelona locations, as well as in many other cities in the country. They don’t show prices on their website so you’ll need to contact them with your ride specifications (particular or corporate event, number of people, etc.) For larger groups of people, you’ll want to check out Barcelona Adventure – this company offers several water sports packages, including but not limited to parasailing. For their parasail option, select the Chilled + Adrenaline bundle).
