Today, Tuesday January the 22nd, we bring to you a kind of “freak” audiovisual proposal. We are talking about the screening of the documentary “Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison” directed by Joel Gilbert in 2010. In this film, the author goes from documentary seriousness to a satirical style, trying to prove the truth of the most bizarre urban legend. According to this story, the Beatles member Paul McCartney had died in a car accident in 1966 and had been replaced by a person that looked just like him. Gilbert enumerates exhaustively McCartney death evidences: hidden messages in songs, album covers, this singer strange attitude, facial features that don’t match, etc. A long list of inconsistencies that cast doubt on the viewer until we finally even believe what Gilbert is stating.
