Best Hotels on Las Ramblas

If you want to stay in the heart of the city during your stay in Barcelona then there is a good chance that Las Ramblas will be near the top of your hit-list. This 1.2km street is extremely popular with tourists and has become the busiest street in Barcelona. The ancient and historic street has plenty of bars, restaurants and cultural attractions which have made it a thriving hot spot for quality hotels. Here are a few of the best:

Le Meridien

Roughly the same price as the Bagues, Le Meridien is a top quality hotel. Awash with the usual perks found in a 5-star hotel, the hotel is also perfectly situated towards the bottom of Las Ramblas meaning it is a little out of the way from the tourist-heavy northern end. It also has an in-house Spa offering various facial and body treatments as well as a state of the art fitness centre where you can also book time with a personal trainer and nutritionist and take part in yoga, dance and pilate lessons- for an additional fee.

Hotel Bagués

This 5 star hotel is great for those wanting to pay a little extra. With prices usually well in excess of €200 for single rooms this hotel is not cheap but it is luxurious. It boasts a state of the art gym, sauna and a rooftop terrace with a small outdoor pool with a spectacular viewpoint offering panoramic views of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. This hotel is has luxury in abundance and is the perfect place if you want somewhere special on Las Ramblas.

Hotel Pulitzer

This hotel is a priced in the middle, prices for a standard single room ranging from €150-180 depending on times of the year. You will still get the comforts like air-con, flat screen tv, and Wi-fi that you would expect to find for this price. It also boasts some additional charms, most notably its roof-top terrace with a spectacular view of Barcelona and a great spot to enjoy some tapas and cocktails.

Hotel Ramblas

This is by far the cheapest Hotel on my list and probably classes as “cheap and cheerful”. With rooms for under a hundred Euros this no frills hotel is clean, comfy and affordable. All rooms come with air conditioning, wi-fi and satellite Tv. You can book a room with want a balcony but it will cost you about €30 more depending on the season. The hotel doesn’t have a gym or spa but it does have a terrace for guests with a great view of the city. Given its location, for the price, is definitely worth considering.
