Looking for healthy AND delicious food in Barcelona? Then look no further…

Aguaribay
Carrer del Taulat, 95, 08005

Located in Poble Nou, Aguaribay is a lovely modern-looking restaurant and one of the best vegetarian restaurants in town. Meals are way more imaginative than in many others in the city and include tasty, nutritious dishes, tapas, and an extremely popular lunch menu along with a great range of drinks, organic teas, and filling burritos. Reservations are recommended due to the popularity of this place.

Flax & Kale

This pescatarian restaurant – newly opened in 2014 – has a great range of super healthy dishes and a fantastic selection of juices and smoothies. Teresa’s Favourite Smoothie comes highly recommended! Juices and smoothies are also available to takeaway. They also have a good selection of organic wines, a great breakfast menu that includes items made from wholemeal flours in their inhouse bakery, and lots of fish dishes for those who aren’t vegetarian but want to eat healthy.

Orgànic
Carrer de la Junta de Comerç, 11, 08001

With a modern atmosphere and fusion menu, Organic is a great place to eat healthy organic food at fairly good prices. Located in a large and airy, old warehouse-like space with rustic-cum-industrial decor, you can eat from the salad bar, enjoy a full menu or just an organic tea or two.

Biocenter
Pintor Fortuny, 25, 08001

Biocenter’s been around for 30 years, making it one of Barcelona’s oldest vegetarian and health food restaurants. Spacious, lively, and with unique décor – Biocenter is a great place with scrumptious food.

Portions are generous and the prices are good. They have a salad bar if you want to eat light and healthy or to combine with other items. And all their products are organic.

Juicy Jones
Carrer de l’Hospital, 74, 08001

Juicy Jones really is an explosion of colour. Everything from the walls to the menu design is in-your-face and brightly coloured. Different menu options mean you can enjoy anything from a single juice from their massive juice menu, to a three-course meal with bread and coffee – all for a good price. Everything is vegan too. The cuisine is varied but there is an emphasis on Asian-style food including a reasonably priced vegan thali.

Sol i Lluna
Verdi, 50, Barcelona

Sol i Lluna in Gracia specialises in vegetarian and vegan cuisine, so expect lots of vegetable and legume-based dishes. The focus is on French and Mediterranean – delicous soups are a speciality. If you are looking for a good salad (which is so ridiculously hard to find in Spain), then look no further.

Raso Terra
Carrer del Palau, 5, 08002 Barcelona

This amazing restaurant in Gracia offers a great three-course menu at lunchtime, which is both tasty and affordable. At night, a full a la carte menu includes ingredients grown on their own land situated just outside Barcelona. Dishes are imaginative and the presentation is great. One of our favourites.
