If you are one of those people that like to enjoy summer nights outside, why not watch a movie at the beach?

Cinema Lliure a la Platja is a festival that shows independent movies at Sant Sebastià beach (close to Barceloneta).

During the fourth edition of the festival, you will be able to watch the following movies:

Barcelona nit d’estiu by Dani de la Orden, Spain

Todos están muertos by Beatriz Sanchis, Spain

American Interior by Dylan Goch and Gruff Rhys, UK/USA

The kings of summer by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, USA

10.000 Km by Carlos Marques-Marcet, Spain

A ras del cielo by Horacio Alcalá, Spain

O lobo atrás da porta by Fernando Coimbra, Brazil

Loreak by José Mari Goenada and Joan Garaño, Spain

Bugarach by Sergi Cameron, Spain

The congress by Ari Folman, Israel

Movie contest

On the last day of the festival the movie will be viewer’s choice. There will be a contest during the Cinema Lliure a la Platja that will determine the winning movie.

There will also be a collection of short films being shown at the festival: Morti el magic, Vale, Me olvidé de ti + Papa dans maman, Harry grows up, Paradise Line + Car Park, Segundos, 97%, Great Adventure, Lila, Una cuestión de etiqueta, Wedding Cake and Wind, Fasisti.

BarcelonaCinema Lliure a la Platja will take place every Thursday and Sunday until September. Each night will begin at 9 pm with music by iCAT, followed by one or two short films and then the feature film.

The festival will take place just in front of Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta. To get there you can use the yellow line (L4) of the metro, exiting at Barceloneta; buses number H16, V21, 39; or bicing parking at stations 31 or 32.
