This international fair is dedicated to the caravanning lifestyle and will serve as both a product showcase and a meeting point not only for those who already practice it but also for those looking to start a journey towards freedom and discovery.
The caravanning lifestyle
Caravanning is a way of life that has been gaining more and more popularity in recent years, particularly amongst people aged between 30 and 50. It basically consists of using a caravan or motorhome to travel around your country or even abroad, staying in camping sites and trailer parks.
It is an economic way of going on vacation and it fits into a philosophy guided by freedom, discovery, and contact with nature. It avoids the ever populous beach destinations in favour of a more personal holiday experience. Of course, it can also be adopted as a permanent lifestyle.

Caravaning 2016 will put on an exhibition featuring over 500 house trailers and campers, as well as other related lifestyle products for the 2016-2017 season. In addition to this brand showcase, the fair will have three other sections:
Travelvaning – A place where caravanners will share the stories of their adventures and experiences on the road. Decorated to resemble a service area for caravans and motorhomes, this will be the perfect place to meet like-minded travelers with whom you can trade advice.
Gastrovaning – The event’s eating area will have several vintage caravans serving as food stands. Available options will include vegan dishes, traditional bocadillos, sweet crepes, and salads, amongst others.
Caravaning Kids – This will be an area dedicated to children, with 25 different wooden games and a small cinema room inside a caravan, where kids will be able to watch cartoons.

Caravaning 2016 will take place at the Gran Via venue of Fira Barcelona, located at Av. Joan Carles I, 64, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. The venue is easily accessible by using public transportation. First, get to the Espanya metro station using either the Red (L1) or the Green line (L3). From there, take the FGC train and exit on Europa or Fira. In case you’re driving there and using a map or a GPS, be careful not to mix up Avenida Joan Carles 1 (right address) with Gran Via Carles III (totally different place) – a lot of people end up in the wrong place.
Tickets cost 8€ if you buy them until September 30. You can do that right now at the event’s official website.
Are you a caravanner? Are you thinking of becoming one, or even just curious about the whole lifestyle? Whatever the case, we’re sure you’ll enjoy Caravaning 2016 in Barcelona. As always, feel free to speak your mind in the comment box below. Have fun!
