Barcelona’s Best Burgers

Written by Adriana

No one would imagine that a Mediterranean city like Barcelona is one of the Spanish territory where you can eat the best hamburger you have ever eaten. Because when it comes to mixing cultures and cuisines in Barcelona there is always a place for eclecticism. Many have opted for the quality of the products to make burguers, which, in this case, has already lost almost all the name “fast food”. If you are dying to eat a burger and don’t want to hear about McDonalds or Burger King, here are some of the places that serve the best burgers in Barcelona. From  ShBarcelona we recommend that you go and taste them all!

Pim Pam Burger: a small place in the Born known to all burger lovers. You can also buy to take home and accompany your meal with some tasty homemade salsa and delicious french fries. Don’tt miss out on the Special Complete burger or Pim Pam Three Cheese. C/Del Sabateret, 4.

La Royale: a gourmet burger place with recipes by Paco Pérez, with a Michelin star, that offers meats from all countries: Asian, Irish or Argentina beef and Chinese duck, ostrich or bison. You can accompany your burger with a gin and tonic (strange but, at the same time, good combination) because they have a large menu of this fashionable drink. Plaça del Camp 5.

Foc i Oli: this restaurant is an Franco-Uruguayan alliance with artisan “fast food” recipes, with premium raw materials and sandwiches prepared in front of the customer. If you don’t choose the spectacular “chivito” (the best sandwich in the world according to the famous chef Anthony Bourdain with beef steak, bacon, tomato, salad, bread brioche served with home fries), you can choose your own ingredients to be included in your sandwich or burger: meat, bread, vegetables and sauces. In the morning they serve great breakfasts, and at the “after work” a variety of vermouth and gin and tonics. C/ Aribau, 91.

Bacoa: The Australian chef that propelled the gourmet burger in Barcelona with Bacoa was Brad Ainsworth. You must try the Japanese and Swiss burger and the special sauce chutnet with their homemade fries. In both places there is the same menu and meats are made in a lava-stone grill giving it a unique taste. Bacoa: C/ Colomines, 2.

El Filete Ruso and La Burg: the owners of both places are the same, La Burg opened after El Filete Ruso, where they serve a spectacular and risky but delicious Steak Tartar burger and also the burger that gives its name “el filete ruso” burger, with selected meat, or another type of burger with a scalded egg (New York burger). The secret is in its high quality alpine beef and in their products. El filete ruso: Enric Granados, 95. La Burg: Passeig Sant Joan Bosco, 55.
