A walk in Carrer del Torrent de l’Olla – Part II

In our previous article about Carrer del Torrent de l’Olla, we started naming some of the businesses and services that make this street a must-visit location in Gràcia. Here is the second part.

Kangura

Kangura is a store that specializes in new forms of baby-carrying. Abandoning the concept of the stroller, Kangura has developed a series of accessories you can use to carry a baby comfortably when going out. They sell the Fular, in which you wrap the baby against your chest, the Bandolera, in which the baby is carried on one of your sides, the Ergonimic backpack in which you carry the baby in a reverse backpack that holds him close to your chest, the Mei Tai, in which you carry the baby strapped tightly against your back, and the Kanga, similar to the Mei Tai.

Kangura believes that their products are not only more practical for the parents, but also healthier for the babies, since it regulates their temperature, breathing rhythm and digestion, the baby feels more comfortable and safe so it cries less, and their motor skills are also more stimulated.    

Kangura offers workshops and sells its products at Carrer del Torrent de l’Olla 163.

Barite

If you are a fan of Indian-inspired items, you will enjoy your visit to Barite, where you will find a variety of decoration items, notebooks, bracelets, necklaces, clothing and accessories.

Olso Barcelona

Olso Barcelona is an awesome association of artists and artisans located in the neighborhood of Gràcia, where they showcase and sell their art without any middlemen, which gives them the opportunity to offer accessible and fair prices. At Olso Barcelona you can find anything from paintings, to earrings, postcards, hats, intricate hairpieces, mugs, small furniture, candles, clothing…  a limitless amount of original articles, like the cool Wes Andersen-inspired t-shirts and bags.

Olso Barcelona is located at Carrer del Torrent de l’Olla, 164.

Lukumás

Lukumás is an artisan pastry shop and café, specializing in donuts. The bakery prepares these famous puffy pastries with a variety of yummy toppings and fillings like peanut, passion fruit, cranberry, tomato, Oreo, strawberries and cream, and more.

Himalaya Paradise
