Great places for fideuà in Barcelona

Fideuà is a special adaptation of paella in which rice is replaced by noodles. This is one of the signature dishes of Catalonia, and strange as it may seem, there are few restaurants in the Catalan capital which offer a fideuà worthy of recommendation. Although a number of restaurants offer decent quality fideuàs, very few of these could be called excellent.

El Merendero de la Mari has a reputation for being one of the best restaurants in town. It specializes in plates based on rice and pasta, and their paellas and fideuàs are truly delicious. Although the price is somewhat elevated, you can be assured of a perfect location and the chef’s expert culinary knowledge. This restaurant is certainly one of those that you should try even though it is a little more expensive than most.

Barceloneta, situated in Port Vell, is of equally high quality. It is, without a doubt, a restaurant with one of the best views in Barcelona, offering exquisite plates of rice and pasta, as well as fresh fish. Although it is a little pricey, like El Merendero de la Mari, it is well worth the extra money.
