The Flavors of Gracia

If you visit Barcelona it’s highly recommended to visit the labyrinth of narrow streets and squares more commonly known as Gracia. It’s a neighborhood that offers plenty of hidden gems and delicious food! You’ll find every type of cuisine here from glutin free, Catalan, Italian, South American, African, and Asian. You might like to go for a bite to eat after visiting the famous Park Güell and walking around Gracia. Here are three hits to choose from.

La llavor del Origens

Looking to try some exquisite local dishes? La llavor del Orgins is a small restaurant chain that offers two quint restaurants in Gracia and El Born. You’ll find dishes like rabbit, coca, butifarra, crema catalana, and more. Best is to try the lunch menu which offers two courses, a dessert, and a drink for 20€. The location in Gracia can be found at C/ de Ramon y Cajal, 12. To get there go to Fontana by Line 3. The opening hours are as follows: 13:00 to 16:30 and 20:00 till midnight. For the restaurant at El Born go to C/ de la Vidrieria, 6 by Line 4 and get off at either Jaume I or Barceloneta. This location is open from 12:30 till Midnight.

Toyo

Do you like sushi? How about an all you can eat sushi buffet for just 10€! This is what you’ll get at the ever-popular Toyo Japanese Restaurant. You’ll get an assortment of Nigri, Maki, Sahimi, and Yakitori (chicken skewers). On weekends and holidays it costs 15€. During the week there is always a line at lunch so get there around 13:00 to insure a spot. It’s located at C/ Torrent de l´Olla, 10 and can be reached by metro stop Diagonal by Line 3 or Line 5. It’s open from 13:30 to 16:00 and 20:30 till Midnight. It’s closed on Mondays.

Last, but certainly not least is the ever so popular Macchina! Here you’ll get freshly made pasta for just 4 to 9€. They offer everything from Gnocchi, Ravioli, Tagliatelle, Penne, Fusilli, and more. You can also choose from a variety of sauces like Bolognese, carbonara, fungi, etc. They also have a selection of some of the best local craft beers. They are located at Astúries, 17 and can be reached by Line 3 at metro stop Fontana. They are open every day from 12:30 till midnight.
