The neighbourhood of Pedralbes is one of the most elite and exclusive areas of Barcelona. It is a modern, residential neighbourhood, although it also has shops with high quality products, such as fashion boutiques or delicatessen self-service shops.

There is not as much public transport as in other areas, largely because residents of Pedralbes usually prefer using their private vehicle, or because they have a driver to move them around the city.

The neighbourhood is bordered by the Collserola mountain range and the Avinguda Diagonal, as well as the town of Esplugues de Llobregat and the district of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi.

The neighbourhood's real estate options mostly consist of impressive buildings with lovely entrance halls, a doorman and a communal area with a swimming pool and gym. It is also common for these properties to have several entrances, one for residents and one for service deliveries.

The same concept works for the apartments, where there is usually a direct access for internal staff to authorized areas. The apartments are very spacious, with large living rooms and kitchens, many bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.

The finishes of the buildings are usually excellent and of great quality and refinement. Normally apartments have large balconies or terraces overlooking the quiet communal area, ideal for having lunch or dinner.

You can also find impressive mansions with beautiful gardens in this area. Prices, as you might already expect, are among the highest in Barcelona. If you want to enjoy the most luxurious and stately part of Barcelona, the neighbourhood of Pedralbes will certainly not be disappointing.

What to see in the neighbourhood of Pedralbes, Barcelona

The neighbourhood of Pedralbes has some very interesting monuments, but many of them are not well known. Take for instance the Monastery of Pedralbes, whose cloister originates from the fourteenth and fifteenth century, and whose church goes back to even to the fourteenth century.

It is in Gothic style and it preserves works of art of great importance. In the same neighbourhood you will find the beautiful park of Cervantes, also known as the rose park, which is of course full of beautiful roses as its name might suggest. It is an absolute delight to walk through in spring, when all the different types of roses are in full bloom, and their exhilarating fragrance can be enjoyed throughout the entire park.
