Why rent an apartment in Born, Sant Pere - Santa Caterina i la Ribera, Barcelona?

The neighbourhood of Born, Sant Pere - Santa Catalina i la Ribera is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city. Its idiosyncrasy shows the commercial life of medieval Barcelona, one of the most important in the Mediterranean at that time. Like all or most neighbourhoods in the central district of Ciutat Vella, a large immigrant community has chosen this small and historic neighbourhood of the Ciudad Condal as its residence. Like the adjacent neighbourhoods of El Gòtic and Barceloneta, it is characterized by its narrow and dark streets, comprising of small plazas with a multitude of bars and terraces. It has interesting buildings with architectural gems, however, most of these are half forgotten and even unknown to pedestrians walking by. One of the areas in this neighbourhood, El Born, which belongs to the sub-district of La Ribera, has become one of the most bohemian and cultural areas of Barcelona.
